Welcome and thank you for visiting the Oak Creek Lake webite.  Oak Creek Lake is located about 30 miles south of Sweetwater Texas on Highway 70, just outside of Blackwell Texas, 45 miles north of San Angelo and 50 miles west of Abilene This puts our lake right in the middle of heaven!  Originally built in 1954 as a power plant lake, Oak Creek has become a beautiful oasis in the Texas Big Country!

Residents of Oak Creek are a wonderful mix of full time residents, part time weekenders and a friend to everybody.  The lake has been hosting family reunions, special events and generating incredible memories for over 50 years, and is still going strong!

The Oak Creek Lake Association was formed in June 2008 to represent the residents as our lake is changing again.  With our lake now full, we are pleased to welcome new visitors to Oak Creek Lake and hope our website is helpful to you.  Please review this website and check back often.  We are confident once you feel the warmth of Oak Creek, you will have found a new home on the "Best Kept Secret" in the Texas Big Country!
